New Jobs Coming? Where Have You Worked at?
by 1234 inwith many people's jobs been put and "on hold" and other people's jobs going away for good, i couldn't help but think about all the different jobs i've had over the years.
i have been able to adapt and make do.
maybe this will kick in again....or maybe not.

I love this thread because I also have had many many jobs to keep well fed... But unfortunately since we are only faded- it will definitely out me to reveal my long list. The career I have now will either go away or become highly unprofitable due to the close contact I have with people. So time to reinvent myself again. Anyone work at home remotely and like it?

latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.
the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

Coronavirus Positive

i'm day six of isolation, confirmed to have coronavirus.
i have been seeing very sick cv positive patients over the last month in my a&e role (emergency physician) it was inevitable i would contract it.. just wanted to give some symptom and treatment advice, it's anecdotal but may help.. started as sore throat and headache, then croaky voice, then dry cough, then episodic transient fevers, all this over the first few days.

We just watched part 1, there is another part tomorrow. I'm a mix of so many emotions. Even though I was a born in and really didn't choose this religion for myself, I'm embarrassed that I was ever associated with this high control group (cult). The reporter has been reporting the case top notch. The abused they have interviewed are credible and endearing. I'm not sure if either of you ladies from Oklahoma are on this forum, if you are, I want you to know how much your story has touched me😓

First Proper Chat With the JWs in Almost 11 Years

i've lived in my rented flat since may 2014 and haven't had a knock on the door in that whole time.
until saturday morning.

Great strategy! My husband and I had many conversations thru the years we were pioneering with logical thinking people who really did make us think. We usually agreed to disagree. Mentioned it to a CO once and he refuted with the 3 H JW thing. If you aren't familiar with it, it's a version of Jehovah draws us, that says the householder has to be Humble, Hungry, and Honest to be "rightly disposed to the truth" 🙄
I felt I was all three of those qualities- so if I am humble, I don't believe I am better than my neighbor, if I am hungry, then I am open minded to others beliefs, and if I am honest- I don't agree with the GB lying to me...so I guess that's why we faded from this high control group like many others here.

Not invited to congregation “get togethers”. They finally said it
by solomon inwe don’t get many invitations to congregational social gatherings.
we don’t attend midweek meetings and miss about 1/3 of sunday meetings.
we go in service at least once a month.

Notice all the responses about this hypocrital behavior. We were told the "identifying mark of true Christians is this love amoung the brothers"
All the rude, unloving way we and many others are and were treated is not proving that.
This is why, after all this time of fading from this religion, I don't miss the judgy haters there at all.
Its so refreshing to have peace without all the burdens they unnecessarily bestowed upon us!!!
